Black Bear Hunts
This spring hunt is a great trip for any hunter who enjoys the wilderness and the anticipation of stalking dangerous game. British Columbia has the highest populations of Black Bears in North America and Total Outdoor Adventures boasts some of the best trophy quality of bears in the region with average bears squaring 5 ½ to 7 feet with an excellent opportunity for beautiful color phase bears (cinnamon, chocolate, brown and blonde). During this hunt you will see plenty of other big game species found in our area including Elk, Goats, Moose, Deer, Sheep and Grizzly Bear. Hunter's can carry two tags per person and it is not uncommon to have the opportunity to kill two bears.
This is an enjoyable spot and stalk hunt as baiting is unlawful in British Columbia and is conducted primarily with the use of 4x4’s and foot travel. Horseback trips are also available on this hunt. We focus on glassing slide areas for foraging bears and for the avid houndsman we offer hunts in the spring with our treeing walker hounds and is an excellent hound hunt.
